Cookie policy

What this website keeps in your browser and how to decide whether your clicks, scrolling and performance are measured.

No cookies

This website uses no cookies, neither its own nor third-party ones, and shows no advertising. The only exception is the videos in some articles: the YouTube or Vimeo player only loads if you choose to play it, and from then on that service receives your IP address and may store cookies or other data in your browser, under its own policy.

What is kept in your browser

Only your browser's local storage (localStorage), to remember two of your choices. It never identifies you, and since it is needed for what you ask for, it requires no consent.

Data kept in your browser
NamePurposeDuration
themeThe color theme you choose. Only kept if you change the theme. go.mreysei.dev keeps its own separately, under the same name.Until you go back to the automatic theme or clear the site data.
analytics-consentYour answer about detailed statistics and when you gave it.12 months; then I ask you again.

What terminal.mreysei.dev keeps

The terminal on terminal.mreysei.dev uses local storage too, only for what you ask of it and never to measure anything, so it requires no consent either. Your name, the directory you are in and the hidden commands you have found travel with each command so that it can be answered, and are not kept on the server.

terminal.themeThe color theme you choose with theme set.Until you go back to the automatic theme or clear the site data.
terminal.sessionThe name you give yourself with su and the directory you are in.Until you clear the site data.
terminal.historyThe last 100 lines you typed, to bring them back with the arrow keys. Never the ones that follow sudo, su, passwd, ssh or login.Until you type history -c or clear the site data.
terminal.foundThe hidden commands you have found, so that help counts and lists them.Until you type history -c or clear the site data.

Detailed statistics

They use no cookies and store no identifiers, but they observe how you use each page (where you click, how far you scroll, the window size, performance), so they only start if you accept them. Exactly what they measure is in the privacy policy.

Visits are always counted without identifying you, whether you accept or not. Without JavaScript the website measures nothing.

Settings

Without JavaScript the website measures nothing, so there is nothing to set up.

How to delete it

You can delete what is kept at any time in your browser's settings, under this site's data.
