This website uses no cookies, neither its own nor third-party ones, and shows no advertising. The only exception is the videos in some articles: the YouTube or Vimeo player only loads if you choose to play it, and from then on that service receives your IP address and may store cookies or other data in your browser, under its own policy.
What is kept in your browser
Only your browser's local storage (localStorage), to remember two of your choices. It never identifies you, and since it is needed for what you ask for, it requires no consent.

Detailed statistics
They use no cookies and store no identifiers, but they observe how you use each page (where you click, how far you scroll, the window size, performance), so they only start if you accept them. Exactly what they measure is in the privacy policy.
