About the project
Chrona is a fullscreen clock for Android and iOS that keeps the screen awake, made to leave a phone or a tablet on the bedside table or the desk. No ads, no analytics and no required account.
Goal. An always-on clock drains the battery and wears the screen unless it is designed for it. Chrona uses pure black so that AMOLED screens switch their pixels off, and it tells how much each face and theme uses, so you choose knowing what it costs.
What it does.
- 15 faces: six free ones (Flip, Mono, Órbita, Terminal, Progreso and Agenda) and nine one-off purchases, from a speedometer to a vinyl record or pixel art. Swipe to change between them.
- 18 colour themes, one of them high-contrast.
- Battery use in plain sight: every face and theme says whether its battery impact is low, medium or high.
- Agenda: an optional connection to Google Calendar to show the next event.
- Customisation: every face chooses which data it shows, and favourites stay at hand.

Accessibility. A high-contrast theme to read the time at a glance.
Security and privacy. Calendar access is read-only and the events never leave the device. Google Play purchases are verified on the phone itself with their RSA signature, without a middle server, and there are no analytics or tracking.

Architecture and quality. Built with Flutter, organised by features, services and state. 39 test files, static analysis and tests on every change with GitHub Actions, and a workflow that builds and uploads every release to Google Play. Its privacy page is in Spanish and English.
Status. About to be published on Google Play.
